A lifetime on six strings

David Sigler is an American guitarist and composer. He began his musical training at the age of 13. His formal studies led him to Columbus State University, where he studied guitar performance under Dr. Andrew Zohn and performed in master classes with David Russell, Sergio Assad, Paul Galbraith, and Jason Vieaux.

He has placed in several international guitar competitions, including 1st place in the 2010 Mississippi Guitar Festival and 1st place in the 2024 Elías Barreiro Young Artists Competition. David holds a Bachelor’s of Music in Performance from the University of New Orleans and a Master of Music in Performance from Loyola University, where he studied under Dr. Jay Kacherski.

David is a founding member of the New Orleans Guitar Quartet and the experimental avant-rock ensemble Primpce. He resides in New Orleans, where he works as a performer, recording artist, and guitar instructor at Tulane University.
